Táňa was born in Prague and in her childhood played the violin, learnt French and was interested in art. Later, she studied classical guitar performance at the Prague Conservatory. She had the opportunity to actively participate in three summer guitar courses in Nice, France, with the prominent and internationally acclaimed professor Alexandre Lagoya. She completed her studies at the Conservatory by a graduation concert in 1983.

After finishing the Conservatory, she performed at concerts and began tutoring at elementary art schools. After dedicating several years primarily to the upbringing of her two sons, Lukáš and Daniel, she recommenced tutoring and also started publishing her literary works.

In years 2002 to 2004, Táňa’s columns were published in Lidové noviny newspaper, in the section Last word. Since 2004, she has been cooperating with the radio station Vltava ČRo 3 on the production of children and youth programmes. Today, Táňa also teaches guitar performance at the Music school of Prague.
